Description
The Intreccio Antipasto Platter (Antipasteria) is one of the most ambitious and labor-intensive pieces in the collection — designed not simply as a serving piece, but as a fully composed centerpiece for gathering.
A hand-painted flower at the center creates a warm focal point, while the surrounding forms carry the essence of the traditional Penne di Pavone—a rhythmic language of curved lines, color, and movement that ties every Intreccio piece together.
What makes the Antipasteria exceptional is not only its scale, but the amount of work required to produce it. The large serving tray and each individual compartment piece must be separately formed, glazed, painted, fired, and finished by hand, then brought together as a complete composition. Every element must work both on its own and as part of the larger whole.
This is not a simple platter. It is a multi-part serving piece that reflects the kind of time, coordination, and handwork rarely found in modern tableware.
Designed for olives, cheeses, roasted vegetables, salumi, nuts, dips, and small shared bites, the Antipasteria transforms casual serving into part of the table itself. It is meant to be used, admired, and gathered around.
Each piece is formed and painted by hand in Deruta, Italy. No transfers. No stencils. Subtle variations in brushwork and tone are part of its character and the mark of the artisan behind it.
